This course is designed to give Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) a comprehensive understanding of heart attacks, focusing on their causes, warning signs, and treatments. Heart attacks, also known as myocardial infarctions, are one of the leading causes of death worldwide and require prompt recognition and response to improve patient outcomes. This module will cover the epidemiology of heart attacks in the U.S., delve into the risk factors, and distinguish between heart attacks and cardiac arrests. CNAs will learn to identify warning signs, understand common treatment methods, and grasp the role of surgical interventions in managing heart attack cases.
