Understanding Autism

This course, “Understanding Autism,” is designed to provide CNAs with a comprehensive overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The module covers essential aspects of Autism, including its definition, historical context, possible contributing factors, symptoms, and various treatment options. Participants will learn about the importance of sensitivity and understanding when interacting with clients with Autism. The course will also address the stigma surrounding Autism and the role CNAs can play in offering respectful and supportive care.
