Tuberculosis Update

This module is designed to equip Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with a comprehensive understanding of Tuberculosis (TB). The course covers the types of TB, its epidemiology, symptoms, modes of transmission, and diagnosis. Additionally, it provides an overview of TB treatment methods, including potential side effects of medications. CNAs will learn the international standards of TB care within healthcare facilities and explore the CNA’s role in managing TB care. The module also addresses healthcare staff’s challenges in controlling and preventing TB, providing strategies to handle these effectively.
