Parkinson’s Disease

This module introduces CNAs to Parkinson’s disease (PD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement and significantly impacts quality of life. The course covers the causes, symptoms, and progression of Parkinson’s disease, emphasizing the CNA’s role in supporting patients with this condition. Through this training, CNAs will learn effective caregiving techniques, recognize symptoms, and understand the diagnosis and treatment options for PD. The course also explores lifestyle changes that can aid in managing symptoms, aiming to equip CNAs with the skills to provide compassionate and informed care.
